Might be time for some to take another look at DotNetNuke ... it was just announced that the popular web content management system will be using C# for the core of the upcoming 6.0 release.

Microsoft just announced an upcoming public beta of "Visual Studio LightSwitch" (formerly named "KittyHawk"). It is due out August 24, and offers programmers and power users the tools to rapidly create business applications.

Just read an interesting article by Steve Rubel over at Advertising Age. He discusses some of the trends influencing the web (and how they might affect marketers and developers), stating that the web is "going to become a lot less interesting to consumers".
